Knowledge Management (KM) is not only applied within organisations but also plays an important role in how individuals learn, grow, and make decisions in everyday life. It involves how knowledge is identified, collected, structured, shared, and effectively used to achieve meaningful outcomes.
For this assignment, you are required to produce a reflective report that examines how you personally manage knowledge to support your personal and professional goals. Your discussion should be based primarily on your own real-life experiences, supported by specific examples and evidence, rather than focusing only on theoretical explanations.

Goals and directions
I want to complete my MBA with flying colours so that I can become a business strategy consultant with all necessary skills required to do the job. In achieving my goal, I have reviewed the course requirements, industry trends and enhanced my knowledge regarding the necessary skills and competency required. I therefore regularly study strategic management, leadership to support my academic and career objectives.
Capturing knowledge
With respect to capturing knowledge, I refer to different sources including the lecture notes, academic journal articles, attend webinars and participate in workplace experiences. I also make use of case study and take lecturer feedback to enhance my knowledge and understanding.
Organising knowledge
I try to organise my knowledge by touching each major topic in detail at once rather than looking all of them together. In addition to this, I also maintain summaries of key concepts and also create separate folders for academic assignments and professional projects.
I believe in sharing knowledge because it not only improves my own knowledge but also helps me to learn new things from peer group members. I participate in group discussions, workplace collaboration and academic presentations. I also love to complete assignment that are given in groups to complete, as it helps in collective understanding and decision making.
Applying knowledge
Not only the sharing of knowledge, but I also believe in applying it by using theories and frameworks to solve real world problems. For example I make use of strategic frameworks like SWOT, PESTLE, values chain analysis while performing strategic analysis of business case studies.
Evaluating knowledge
Along with sharing and application, the evaluation part is also very significant and I try to evaluate my knowledge by checking credibility of sources used, comparing information from different sources, and trying to get feedback from lecturers and peers.
Reflection and insights
Knowledge management is crucial in completing my academic studies as per my expectations and the value can be generated from knowledge by making effective use of it. As for my future plan, I am expecting to improve my digital knowledge management tool and improve my ability to convert information into practical strategic decisions.
