Answer 1: An analysis of the local economic development policy Framework in South Africa indicates that it has been effective to a certain extent in improving the lives of local communities, however there are still many challenges and failures identified in respect to this framework. In terms of success, this Framework is effective enough in empowering local communities, in infrastructure development, and in creating jobs for the local. However the challenges are mainly in the form of lack of coordination, limited resources, corruption, and resource constraint and funding problems are also evident.
