As an industry of connecting the world, it is important for service providers to adequately reach out to their target market. You are Technical Lead in one of Selangor’s established telecommunications company PureTelco Sdn Bhd. One of Smart Selangor initiatives is to upgrade small town (Hulu Bernam) in Selangor in terms of telcommunications services. For that reason, Selangor State Request for Proposal (RFP) to all telecommunications service providers to upgrade Hulu Bernam telecommunications services.

The proposal has four major parts;

1. Introduction (1 – 3 pages)
   • Basic information of PureTelco Sdn Bhd
   • Organization chart PureTelco Sdn Bhd (includes you as Technical Lead)
   • Description of your organization’s expertise

2. Description of needs and requirements (3 – 5 pages)
   • Current Telecommunication Service at Hulu Bernam
   • Problem occurred with current telco service at Hulu Bernam

3. Description of project or goods or services offered (3 – 5 pages)
   • Objectives – answering current telco problems
   • Methodology – method used to deliver telco services

4. Expected outcome (1 – 3 pages)
   • Overall expected outcome
   • Mapping or topology of expected outcome.

PROJECT DELIVERABLES

 There are two types of deliverables that are expected from this project-based examination:

• Proposal (pdf file)
• Project execution (oral via GoogleMeet).

Network Project proposal:

 You should prepare a proposal minimum of 8-16 pages in pdf file, 1.5 paragraph spacing, font Times New Roman size 12. Marks will be deducted if you fail to abide with this main criteria.

The Proposal should contain 4 major part;

1. Introduction (1 – 3 pages)
   • Basic information of PureTelco Sdn Bhd (CLO 1 – 10 marks)
   • Organization chart PureTelco Sdn Bhd (includes you as Technical Lead) (CLO 1 – 10 marks)
   • Description of your organization’s expertise (CLO 1 – 10 marks)

2. Description of needs and requirements (3 – 5 pages)
   • Current Telecommunication Service at Hulu Bernam (CLO 1 – 10 marks)
   • Problem occurred with current telco service at Hulu Bernam (CLO 1 – 15 marks)
     • Describe at least THREE (3) telco problems to supply their services in remote area such as Hulu Bernam.

3. Description of project or goods or services offered (3 – 5 pages)
   • Objectives – answering current telco problems (CLO 2 – 10 marks)
   • Methodology – method used to deliver telco services (CLO 2 – 10 marks)

4. Expected outcome (1 – 3 pages)
   • Overall expected outcome (CLO 3 – 10 marks)
   • Mapping or topology of expected outcome (CLO 3 – 10 marks)

5. Presentation (via Google meet) (CLO 1 – 5 marks)
